In the over-developing world of technology it's always important to stay one step ahead. Ultimately we want to create something which will turn heads in the street. That is exactly what Canadian artist, Eric Testroete did, simply using his head.

Trying to come up with a unique Halloween mask, Eric decided to focus on a more original concept. It was time to create his own head as a cartoon-like big head made entirely of paper. Something that could be taken straight out of the recent Alice in Wonderland movie or character videogames. In fact, it reminds me of the robot 'Kryten' who starred in the British comedy series of the 90s, Red Dwarf.
As no stranger to 3D imaging, Eric headed off to his studio and using graphic software including 3D Max, he successfully designed, self-modelled, printed and folded along the dotted lines magically building his own paper mask. With no less than 370 photographic triangles, the mask gently fits over his head and neatly tucks under his jacket.
So it just goes to show, facing up to the crisis with home-made ideas perhaps is where it's headed.
